No problem with the bg, its with the lighting and the focus. There isn't much that could have been done with the lighting, but the focus could have been a little more tight on the bird.
My goodness, u post almost one pic a day, wish i cud do the same :(
Regarding the pic, towards the left it seems to be very sharp, and once u go to the right, things turn a lil soft, and at the rightmost end its almost washed out. Maybe metering cud have been better. And regarding the bg, its very diff to get a good bg in bird photography, unless the bird is ready to pose for u when and where u want :)
looks nice.. and if ur referring tio the problem which i pointed with template - well - that isnt the case with todays pic.. i guess twas a problem with that image's height n width.. n today, that seems perfect :|
am glad seeing my link in your "photoblogs section" - thanks !!
Shuva :Do i focus on the full bird or only on its eye ? I am always not sure where to focus !
San:Its just that i got a new camera recently not was so enthusiastic that i had taken a lot of photos ,so it isn't difficult to post one pic a day :) Metering :I am not much aware of this ,will read about it and experiment !
Prasoon: The suggestions and comments by each one of you really helps .

may i know what is the model of ur camera and the EXIF of your photo?
this shot might be better with a smaller aperture and a shorter shutter speed. I guess.
